‘Tis The Season: Sky Mall Magazine Holiday Gift Shopping Ideas

Today, I’m introducing the new segment, “‘Tis The Season: Sky Mall Magazine Holiday Gift Shopping Ideas.” Yes, it’s quite possibly the worst title ever, but that’s okay, I didn’t come up with it. (Yes, I did).
Weekly, from now until Christmas, I will present you, the trusted reader (I like to pretend that people are actually [...]

RE: Proposition 8

I tend to avoid hot topic discussions (although I, generally, love talking about the retail outlet of the same name). For some reason, I feel compelled to break my code of silence to look at the recent Anti-Proposition 8 rallies; namely, the hate tactics used by a select few of the gay rights activists. See [...]

To Follow A Poop Joke…

Requires a digital palette cleanser.
I give you NBC’s latest reworking of Knight Rider. In particular, Episode 3 “Knight of the Iguana,” during the final act, when Michael Knight, our Afghanistan-veteran protagonist, faces the head of a “gang of surfing smugglers”.
This video is being taken down from Hulu tomorrow, so watch it now (it’s short).

TMZ.com reports that this was not her first attempt at suicide, having been found outside of Abdul’s home in the past year, unconscious from an apparent OD.

Tony Guido’s “Origin of the Jäger Bomb and the Loyalties of World War II”

Being an ambitious previous-valedictorian-soon-to-be-failure, I intern. Not the type that draws blood in the emergency room in preparation for their starting six-figures salary. The type that is paid nothing in hopes they might actually get a job that barely pays the rent.
As one of these eager interns, I find myself doing such tasks as pouring [...]

Disney Covertly Pushes High School Musical Franchise for Oscar

I won’t bore you with my concerns over the demise of American culture due to the advent of the High School Musical franchise (HSM, for all of the lazy-tongued tweens). Let’s face it: it’s a well-worn subject, having become a rich source of irony for most of “intelligent America.” This post, thankfully, is not about [...]
